Founded in 1955, Adega de Palmela, a wine brand of the Setúbal Region, has played a dignified and active role in the region, maintaining an affective and emotional connection in supporting agricultural and wine production. Currently with about 300 members and more than 65 years of cooperativism, it has a remarkable social function in honoring the name Palmela in the world with its brand wines. The members and producers have about 1,000 hectares of vineyard where the average annual production exceeds 8 million liters, and the winery has the capacity to reach 10 million liters, 70% of which are red wines, 20% white wines and 10% Moscatel. It produces brands such as Vale dos Barris, Adega de Palmela, Pedras Negras, Vale de Touros, Palma, Villa Palma and Amus, as well as other own brands that are already diffused in the market.
